r.e Bioenergie GmbH announces the take-over of 100% of its shares by BayWa r.e GmbH. To place a stronger focus on the brand “r.e" and also to adequately describe the business orientation of the firm in its name, Aufwind Neue Energien GmbH is renamed into r.e Bioenergie GmbH.

2010
Aufwind Nuevas Energias S.L. implements in the port of Barcelona Spain’s largest on-roof photovoltaic plant up to this date with an electric capacity of 3.3 MWpeak. The plant is also operated by Aufwind Nuevas Energias S.L.
Construction of the largest waste-biogas plant of Hungary in Szarvas with an electric power generation capacity of 4.17 MWel.

2009
Biogazownia Liszkowo: Technical project management and implementation of the largest waste-biogas plant of Poland with 2.1 MWel.

2008
Aufwind was awarded with an innovation prize in the scope of the "Biogas Partnership of the Year 2008" project organised by the German Energy Agency GmbH (Dena) for the Pliening biomethane plant.

2006
First-time feeding of biogas into the German natural gas distribution network by the Pliening biomethane plant managed and implemented by Aufwind. The plant is also operated by Aufwind.

2005
Europe's state-of-the-art biogas power plant with a power of 3.1 MWel is implemented by Aufwind at Hünxe.
Furthermore, the experts of Aufwind participate in the design of a geothermal power station in Sauerlach near München.

2004
Aufwind builds the largest wind farm up to this date in the Czech Republic.

2003
Aufwind completes commissioning of the largest wind farm in Slovakia.

2001
The first biogas fund in Germany is planned and implemented.

1999
Commissioning of the largest German wind farm at the time with 6 windpowerturbines at Stemmasgrün.

1997
Commissioning of the Trollenhagen wind farm.

1995
Aufwind Neue Energien GmbH is founded.
